My name is Chris Olson and I am the technology integration specialist at Mosinee Elementary School.

All Mosinee Elementary students come to my class to learn essential technology skills and applications which can then be transferred into their regular classroom for performance tasks, projects, and other curricular-based activities. These skills will also help to form the foundation for technology literacy.

Technology literacy can be defined as the ability to responsibly use appropriate technology to:
  • Communicate
  • Solve problems
  • Access, manage, integrate, evaluate, design and create information to improve learning in all subject areas
  • Acquire lifelong knowledge and skills in the 21st century
As technology advances, the definition of technology literacy becomes much richer and more complex because there is more information available than ever before. And the tools for finding, using and creating information are rapidly becoming more diverse and sophisticated.

Starting in kindergarten, students will begin to learn basic technology skills, applications, and knowledge in order to continue to adapt and be successful as technology continues to change.

I am excited about this opportunity to enrich the lives of our students!
Thanks for visiting and have a great day!
