Each year the Missouri Association for School Librarians selects books for 4-5th graders to read and recommend. These books are voted on by 4-5th graders and one is chosen in April to win the Mark Twain Award. Students must read at least 4 of the books off of the list to qualify to vote in March of 2015. If students read all 12 they are inducted into the Mark Twain Hall of Fame here at Shook. These students receive a t-shirt, free books, a party, and their picture placed in the library. To prove they have read one of the nominees, they must take a 10 question quiz or write a book report. See Mrs. Bransfield for more details.
Last year several students from Shook were inducted into the Hall of Fame! All students will have until May of 2016 to become a member of the Hall of Fame. Good Luck!
