Meet Mrs. Woodall!

Mrs. Woodall

I am from Brooksville, Florida and I am 28 years old. This will be my sixth year of teaching kindergarten at Rocky River and I couldn't be more excited! I can't wait to get to know each and every one of your kids throughout the school year! It all starts in kindergarten!

WORK EXPERIENCE

I taught first grade at Newington Elementary School in Charleston, South Carolina for one year. I student taught kindergarten at Jefferson Elementary School in Shelby, North Carolina. I taught kindergarten at Rocky River Elementary for the past 5 years and absolutely love it!

EDUCATION

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Gardner-Webb University in the Spring of 2016. Go Bulldogs! I graduated with my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Gardner-Webb in 2020. I am currently pursuing my Ed.D in Curriculum and Instruction through Carson-Newman University and anticipate graduating in May 2023.

HOBBIES / INTERESTS/TEACHING STYLE

I cheered in college and love integrating classroom cheers into my lessons. I have always had a passion for children and knew I wanted to become a teacher since I was in middle school. I love spending time with my friends and family. I also love to shop and go out to eat! I love going to NASCAR races! My teaching style is very hands-on. I like to have my students engaged and moving throughout the school day. I use positive reinforcement in my classroom and promote high expectations for students to follow the rules and treat themselves and others with respect. I encourage students to always give me their best. I like to challenge my kiddos so they can reach their fullest potential!
