Recorder Karate

Earn Your White Belt:

Step 1. Play the recorder using your left hand on top.

Step 2. Blow gently into the mouthpiece

Step 3. Articulate (whisper "doo") into your mouthpiece in place of the words of the nursery rhyme "Hickory Dickory Dock" or "Humpty Dumpty."

Step 4. Congratulations! You've earned your first Recorder Karate Belt!

Earn Your Yellow Belt:

Step 1. Play the recorder using your left hand on top.

Step 2. Blow gently into the mouthpiece

Step 3. Articulate (whisper "doo") while you play, "The Clock and the Moon" featuring the notes "B" and "A." You can find the background music here.

Step 4. Congratulations! You've earned the Yellow Belt!

Earn Your Holiday Belt:

Step 1. Play the recorder using your left hand on top.

Step 2. Blow gently into the mouthpiece

Step 3. Articulate (whisper "doo") while you play, ""Fum, Fum, Fum"" featuring the notes B, A, and G.  You can find the background music here.

Step 4. Congratulations! You've earned the Holiday Belt!

Earn Your Orange Belt:

Step 1. Play the recorder using your left hand on top.

Step 3. Articulate (whisper "doo") while you play, "Recorderton" featuring the notes B, A, and G.

Earn Your Purple Belt:
