I am so excited to be your Social Studies Teacher! Here are the top 6 things you need to know about me!
This is my Eleventh year at Metcalf and eleventh year of teaching Social Studies!
Bloomington/Normal has been my lifelong home. I have grown up in this area and love living here!
Educationally speaking, I hold my BS in History/Social Sciences Education (2013) and my MS in Teaching in Learning (2018) from Illinois State University. Go Redbirds!
I also teach TCH 219 for the College of Education!
My wife, Mrs. Goveia, and I have known each other since we were in elementary school. We reconnected at ISU and have been married since 2014.
I am a father to two daughters. Riley is 7 (and goes to Second Grade at Metcalf) and Maddie Is 3!
I also spend time at Metcalf Athletic Events, arts events, and can be found moderating Scholastic Bowl Matches from time to time.
In my free time, I love to watch movies, listen and play music (I have played the trumpet for 19 years!), and I might be (read: AM) addicted to superhero shows/movies.
