Evaluation:
Assess students using a variety of cross battery measures in accordance with Cattell-Horn-Carroll theory of cognitive evaluation. Cross battery assessment includes a neurodevelopmental approach to ability. Psychological evaluations can include, yet are not limited to: cognitive assessment, social/emotional functioning, attention and executive function, and adaptive function. Conducts developmental history with parents. Conducts observations in multiple settings. Presents reports and recommendations at Interdisiplinary Team/IEP meetings.
Performs 'Risk Assessment' for students in need of immediate intervention.
Counseling:
Provides individual and group counseling to students. Provides short term and ongoing individual counseling for students with social/emotional needs. Plans and leads small groups, as well as entire classrooms, on social skill development.
Consultation:
Participates in Instructional Support Team. Consults with various members of the school community including regular and special education teachers, administrators, social works, private therapist, parents, and students.
Conducts behavioral observations in multiple settings and formulates management plans. Develops behavior plans through functional behavioral assessments.
