Registration and placement information for Choral Ensembles – School Year 2020-2021
Thank you for your interest in Blair's Choral program! We're very excited that you will be adding your voice!!
We are offering 5 courses for 2021-2022. All five fulfill the Fine Arts requirement for graduation. All but Chorus 1 are honors level courses (meaning you are awarded the extra quality point on your weighted GPA, which is reported to colleges).

Chamber Singers (aka Chamber Choir)
Show Choir
No audition or 'paperwork' is necessary for Chorus 1A/B.
If you are interested in Chorus 2 or Chorus 3, please complete the vocal music registration form.
If you are interested in Show Choir or Chamber Singers - please read the following audition requirements.
Show Choir:
DANCE audition via Zoom or via recording (please e-mail to isabel_hernandez-cata@mcpsmd.org with a recording or to schedule an audition on Zoom).
· Please submit a brief dance excerpt in any style which showcases your technique and stage presence.
OPTIONAL: If you have any choreography, specific dance or tumbling skills, feel free to include them.
Chamber Singers
1. Completion of Chamber Singers contract (attached below) & Vocal Music Registration Form
2. Individual Vocal Audition (by appointment)
· Range check/vocalises.
· Sing a very brief vocal solo (unaccompanied, can be from a choral piece previously performed).
· Perform some melodic and rhythmic sight reading passages as well as some pitch matching exercises to assess aural skills.
