How are you involved in eduation?I am very passionate about STEAM/STEM education. I am also one of the go-to people for technology-issues at our school.
What does your ideal school or classroom look like?My ideal school would have a variety of options for the students, including flexible seating, flexible learning (audio, visual & bodily-kinestic) activities and flexible studying (online, traditional pencil/paper & collaboration).

How are you involved in education?I have taught special education for 20 years and have been the Director of Special Services for the last three. In the 20 years of teaching, I have taught in 2 countries and 4 states, pre-k through 12th grades, resource, behavioral support, private school for severe behavior and self contained classroom for students with autism.

How are you involved in eduation?I love teaching art and working with kids of all ages to develop creativity, sharpen and teach artistic skills and work with other teachers to see the Fine Arts in all subject areas in the curriculum.
What does your ideal school or classroom look like?My ideal art classroom would be an active learning environment with a large variety of materials, hands on experiences with all types of art media, and have lessons that are thematic, or tied to other subjects . Painting, drawing, sculpture, mixed media, digital media would be included in the syllabus.

How are you involved in eduation?Mathematics Department Lead/ Mentor Teacher
In addition to his work in the mathematics department at McAlester High School, Tim is a Teachers Teaching with Technology Regional Instructor.(Texas Instruments T^3) He has been a Great Expectations Instructor for 24 summers and is currently an Improvement Fellow with the Oklahoma State Department of Education's Oklahoma Excel Project. He is certainly a lover of Edcamps!
What does your ideal school or classroom look like?A space where students can explore new ideas, where mistakes are part of the learning process, and where students and facilitators support each other to success. Physically, a connected environment where questions can be posed and debated until understanding is reached.

Find resources for our ELL's Assistants, coordinate/translate meetings, epower our ELL TA's with positive feedback & open communication coordinate Hispanic family nights. As a counselor, build/bond with students and parents, educate students & parents about school & community resources, help students process their problems, serve as a friendly helper to all students and teachers, work with students on individual basis and in small groups. Facilitate classroom guidances & counseling sessions, help identify students needs and assist as much as promote character & kindness in our schools.

What does your ideal school or classroom look like?I am very passionate about holding kids to a high standard. I also know that in order for that to happen kids need to feel safe, important, and as though they matter. I want kids to want to come to school. I also feel like because I teach high school, guiding them on the transition from a high school environment to post-secondary world is crucial. I want them to learn just any many life lessons from me as academic ones.
