On a personal note, I am the mother of four amazing girls and have a top-notch husband. We live in the country, have animals and love to be outside. I am a runner, a reader, a gardener, and an avid sports fan so that is just enough to keep me busy.
I teach kids and the content is social studies. If I could do anything in the world to help kids learn we would travel every class period and get a hands on experience. If we were studying Gandhi we would be in New Delhi, India walking his final footsteps. When we would learn about the culture of the Amazon it would be a trip to South America. I do my best to bring history to life, make it real, make it applicable and have some fun learning along the way.
It's good to be back! I've been teaching at MHS since 2016 but I grew up in the area and who says you can't go home! Prior to teaching here I was at Reedsburg Area High School for 9 years, and it was at Ashwaubenon High School where I started my teaching career. I am a proud alumni of St. Norbert College in DePere, WI, where I got my Bachelor's degree, and I completed my Master's at UW LaCrosse. I was happy to move back closer to family and to invest in the community where I grew up, and where I am raising my own children.
