My name is Bianca Castillo and I was born in Chandler, Arizona graduating from Chandler High School in 2018. I'm currently a major in secondary education and history at Mesa Community College and plan to transfer to Arizona State University and finish a bachelors in hope of becoming an 11th grade history teacher. All of my life I have always had an interest in historical events that have occurred in the world whether it was 20 years ago or 50 years ago. History has just always fascinated and it was the subject I excelled in and always looked forward to.
There's a stigma in school that all students have and that is that history is boring. My goal is to not only become a history teacher but change this idea that students have and make history fun and exciting. I also want to teach and show how important history is and how important it is to know what's going on the world currently as well as what's happened in the past. Being an educated individual is such a crucial thing in today's world and knowing what's happened can help in aiding our future generations to learn from mistakes that have been made and making decisions further on.
Some hobbies that I do is I love taking photos of nature and capturing moments. I love to read and learn new things everyday. I played softball for 8 years of my life and still have a love for the game to this day, including staying active.
