MS ISW: NPR student Podcast Challenge  

Overview: 

• Students from around the country are invited to create a podcast - about anything they want and compete for a chance to have their work featured on NPR. 

• Students from 5th grade through college are eligible to participate, however, the rules vary depending on your grade. 

• Don't miss your chance to make your voice heard. 

Timeline:

• Students in grades 5th - 12th can begin submitting from January 6, 2023, through April 28, 2023.

• Submissions must be supported by a teacher.

Background Information 

Overview: Use this section to explore based on your personal interest 

Sources:  Use at least 3 different types of sources in your research (ex: encyclopedia, database, book, newspaper) 

               Guiding Questions:

1. Tell us a story about your school or community: about something that happened there — recently or in the past — that your audience should know about.

2. What is a moment in history that all students should learn about?

3. Show us both sides of a debate about an issue that's important to you.

4. What do you want to change about the world? What is a big change that you want to make in the future?

5. Explain something to us that kids understand and grown-ups do not.
