About us

Welcome to the Art Department. Our Art and Design programme of study  allows students to develop their knowledge, understanding and skills of two and three dimensional materials through a wide range of creative, exciting and stimulating learning experiences. Students will also develop their knowledge of the world around them through personal investigations into a broad a range of both traditional and contemporary artists, designers, craftspeople and cultures. As the course progresses students will use this knowledge to inform the development of final realisations in response to various themes. 

Our department strives to promote individuals curiosity and creativity, growing an appreciation of Art and self expression through passionate teaching.  We encourage and nurture an experimental inquisitive approach to creativity. The department explores a wide range of areas of Art & Design including print making, ceramics, 3D construction, animation,  textiles and history of Art.
