Coaches

The BFA Comet Hockey Program began in the 2000 -2001 season under the direction of Luke Cioffi and Jeff Rouleau.  They were assisted from 2001 to 2005 by Jeff Moulton, from 2005 to 2007 by Peter Symula, from 2007-2014 by Keane Yandow and Tyler Pearl from 2014-2016. Two Comet Alumni, Kristin Viens ('08) & Caitlin Manahan ('08) returned to join the Comet coaching ranks in 2012. Caitlin's status changed to part time in 2019. Kristin shared her love of the game through 2020.  Roxanne Douville-Handy joined us in 2016-2021 as the goalie coach. Morgan MacInnis shared her talents for the 2019 - 2020 season.  Another former Comet, Chelsea Ellis ('14) joined the staff in 2019.  Erin Tully ('16) joined the staff in 2020 and Ben Lovelette ('16) took over the goalie responsibilities in 2021.

Coach Luke Cioffi 

Coaching the Comets since the inaugural 2000-2001 season.  Also coached for the St. Albans Skating Association since 1992.  Currently coaching SASA's Special hockey team.  Luke has taught Mathematics at Bellows Free Academy since 1992.  

Coach Jeff Rouleau

Along with Coach Cioffi as the original coaches of the Comet hockey program Jeff has been integral in the growth of girls hockey in St. Albans.  He currently coaches the St. Albans Special hockey team.  Jeff is actively involved with many different community events.  Jeff teaches at St. Albans City Elementary as a middle school science teacher.

Coach Chelsea Forsyth

Coach Forsyth is a teacher and soccer coach at St. Albans City Elementary.  She is a 2014 Comet Alumnus.  She helped establish a young hockey program at Stevenson University (2018) during her four years.  Chelsea is currently coaching the SASA Special Hockey team and a member of the SASA Board.  Chelsea has joined the coaching staff in 2019.

Coach Erin Tully

Coach Tully is a teacher and activities director at St. Albans Town Educational Center.  She is a 2016 Comet Alumnus.  Erin played soccer at Castleton State University and assisted the Rutland Highschool girls hockey team while attending college.  Erin joined the coaching staff in 2020.

Coach Ben Lovelette

Coach Lovelette is a teacher at St. Albans City Elementary.  He is a BFA Bobwhite 2016 alumnus.  Ben joined the coaching staff in 2021.
