Before and After School

Inclusion policy:

Maple Lake Kidville is an inclusive program that makes reasonable accommodations to serve all children. We welcome children of any race, creed, or religious affiliation. We will enroll children with special needs if we can safely and adequately meet the child’s needs through an individually developed care plan. Each child brings their own uniqueness to the program. If your child has special needs please contact the Maple Lake Kidville Director, so we can best serve your child's needs. The program reserves the right to have appropriate staffing in place to accommodate children who cannot be addressed in regular ratios. Reasonable accommodations cannot result in an undue financial or administrative burden or hardship; require a fundamental alteration to the program, service or activity; violate accreditation requirements; or require the waiver of essential program or licensing requirements. Occasionally the existing program will not be the best environment for a child. When all interventions have been exhausted and integration has not been successful, the Maple Lake Kidville Director and Community Education Director will evaluate the ability of our program to serve the individual. Maple Lake Kidville is not designed to provide long-term 1:1 assistance for children. If a child receives 1:1 student support in the classroom or has a behavior plan developed, the program must have a meeting with the family prior to the start date in order to determine the appropriate level of support needed. Information regarding a student’s needs will not be used to prohibit a child’s enrollment in Maple Lake Kidville unless it is determined they will need significant assistance beyond our program capabilities.

Hours of Operation

We are open Monday-Friday, 6am-6 pm following the school district calendar. Kidville is open on some non-school days depending on enrollment numbers. We are also open throughout the summer months.

Exceptions:

1. Kidville is not open during school cancellations/snow days

2. Kidville will open on time 6:00 am if school opens 2 hours late.

3. If school is released early due to weather, we will remain  open for 1 hour after school is released. (late fees will be charged after an hour)

Space

Kidville is located at the Maple Lake Elementary school. Please enter door N from the back parking lot and we are located in room #E11(first door on the left). We do use a variety of areas in the elementary school such as; computer labs, cafeteria, gymnasium, and playground. Please be aware if we are out of the room a sign with our location will be posted on interior and exterior doors. Children are given lockers or cubbies to store belongings during childcare. Please clean up belongings in cubbies or lockers daily to help with cleaning in the evenings.
