Statement from Superintendent Search Committee Chairman Ted Rokas:

“The Manchester School Board has named three finalists in its search for the next superintendent. The finalists are Dr. Kriner Cash, exiting Superintendent of Memphis City Schools in Tennessee; Dr. Debra Livingston, current Superintendent of Fall Mountain Regional School District in New Hampshire; and Dr. Maureen Ward, current Superintendent of SAU 18, Franklin/Hill, in New Hampshire.

PROACT Search began the second round of recruitment on April 12 and received over 30 applicants. Of those, 12 were presented to the Search Committee. On Wednesday, June 5 the top candidates selected by the Search Committee were interviewed by the entire School Board.

The finalists will participate in a two-day on-site interview process over today and Friday. The days will include interviews and meetings with various groups of staff members and business and community groups, school visits, and a community forum. The process will conclude on Saturday with each candidate having an interview with the Board.

A decision on the next Superintendent is expected to be made soon after the Saturday interviews.”

CANDIDATE PROFILES and a complete SCHEDULE of community visits can be found on the SUPERINTENDENT SEARCH page of the district web site.
