The six wives (Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anne of Cleves, Catherine Howard, and Catherine Parr) are gathered together as a girl group, but they argue over who suffered the most during their marriages to Henry VIII.
They compete against each other to prove who had the worst life, telling their stories through songs and dances, and ultimately deciding to work together instead of against each other.
The musical allows the wives to reclaim their stories from being defined by their marriages to Henry, highlighting their individual accomplishments and experiences.
The musical incorporates a modern, pop-rock sound, making the historical story relatable to a contemporary audience.

MENACHAP, CALIFORNIA. An incomprehensible event: every person in the audience of a high school play falls unconscious—every person but one. Using interviews with witnesses, loved ones, first responders, and the investigators pursuing the case, a theatre ensemble brings the story of the strange event to life, documentary-style. But as the strands weave together into an increasingly dangerous web, it becomes clear that this phenomenon might not be entirely in the past. Unnerving, exhilarating, and wildly inventive, you've never walked into anything quite like Trap.
