Job Description
The Jackson Laboratory is hiring for the 2018 Summer Internship Program on our Bar Harbor campus. Our 10 to 12 week paid internship program will provide you with hands-on learning. We have 2 Internship opportunities for an RMT (Room Maintenance Technician).
Required Skills
College Student Seeking Work for the Summer? Currently we are seeking entry level candidates to perform general duties in the animal room work areas including the movement of supplies, sanitation of animal room, demonstrating entry/exit procedures as well as adhering to all safety procedures. These positions are approximately 3 to 4 months in duration (approximately May- August), Monday through Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm, $15.00/hour.
Duties include:
- Transporting clean and soiled supplies through materials airlock
- Performing all aspects of room sanitation
- Conducting room environmental checks
- Maintaining safe work practices and safety procedures
Minimum requirements:
- Minimum HS Diploma or GED
- Ability to work well in a fast paced environment
- Must be currently enrolled in college
