    2. Explain the concept of the zeitgeist and its impact on fashion change.

    3. Analyze the fashion cycle and distinguish the directional theories of fashion movement.

    4. Synthesize data collected from trend spotting, consumer surveys, and retail shopping to find clues for new predictions.

ATTENDANCE:

The Fashion Forecasting course is a hybrid online course designed for students who prefer to complete this 3-unit course with fewer class meetings and prefer the flexibility of doing the rest of the work during the week in their own time. Students are required to log in to the course site (Canvas) at least once weekly and engage academically, following through on the tasks listed in the weekly task list.

Note - The five class meetings for this course are currently held on Zoom. Due to OVID-19, we are not meeting in person.

POLICIES:

All assignments need to be completed by their due dates. Attendance at class meetings is strongly encouraged. When engagement in the work assigned is evidenced, but more time is required for the processing of information and successful completion of a project, late work will be accepted without a penalty up to one week after the original due date. Assignments turned in later than one week will be marked lower.

Please contact me at the email address or voicemail number shown on this page if you have any questions. If you would like to learn more about what an online class involves, please go to: https://community.canvaslms.com/videos/1124
