Welcome to your Senior year! Graduation is around the corner (May 30th 7 p.m.) and we need you ready!

Go ahead and apply to the college/university/trade school.

Let Mrs. Boutain know where to send your transcript.

Send in ACT/SAT scores by going to www.actstudent.org/www.collegeboard.org

When you get accepted to a school, come by and give Mrs. Shepard a copy of your acceptance letter!

Seniors 2019

Fall 2018 - Keep your grades up!!

• Apply to the college/university/trade school of your choice by Thanksgiving!
• Take SAT and/or ACT, if you are not satisfied with scores from last spring -. (. www.actstudent.org , www.collegeboard.org )
• Explore college options. (www.mycollegeoptions.org , www.bigfuture.collegeboard.org , www.collegeexpress.com )
• Think about financial aid. (Fast Web www.fastweb.com , studentaid.ed.gov , www.finaid.org , www.mapping-your-future.org )
• Oct. 1st start FAFSA (Free Federal Aid). We will have a parent night for you to work with financial aid helpers in October.
• If you are enlisting in the military, visit with Mrs. Sheppard about paperwork and use of college days.

Spring 2019

• Plan to visit college campuses. You must fill out paperwork for Mrs. Sheppard and be approved to be able to use your 2 college days that will exempt you from an absence.
• February - Local scholarship website will open for local scholarships. Deadline will be March 25, 2019.
• Have high school resume ready for Madisonville Meteor in April.
• May 14, 2019 Senior Awards/Scholarship Ceremony at 7 p.m. at MHS Auditorium
• May 30, 2019 Graduation 7:00 p.m. Bernard Johnson Coliseum Sam Houston State University, Huntsville, Texas
