This will be my 22nd year teaching and 21st year in the Madison School District. I am very lucky to work at such a driven district and school. I feel that the most important part about teaching is building positive and strong relationships with our students. I love watching kids get excited about their learning and having a growth mindset.
I graduated from ASU in 2003 with a B.A. in elementary education and earned my M.A. in 2008 from NAU in the same field. I also have middle school science and middle school social studies certifications. I have taught all core subjects in a variety of grade levels over the years. I am coach to the girls Varsity Softball team here at MTA. I believe that teaching and coaching go hand in hand and I am blessed to be able to do both.
In my spare time I enjoy watching our Arizona teams or playing sports, reading, traveling, going out to movies, Doctor Who and various sci-fi stuff Star Wars/Star Trek, and being outdoors like camping, golfing, and hiking as well as playing pickleball. I have two sons, a Cactus High School SENIOR and a twenty three year old, plus an amazing husband. We have a lot of fun doing all of these things together.
I'm looking forward to a great year. GO OWLS! HOOT HOOT!
