Welcome Students and Parents!
My name is Brittany Marshall and I teach 8th grade Algebra. I have been involved with Madison Elementary School District for about 14 years, but this is my 8th year teaching. I love everything about MTA and feel like it is my second home!
I graduated from Ottawa University in December 2012, with my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. For the remainder of the 2012-2013 school year, I was a substitute teacher within Madison Elementary School District working in classrooms at nearly each MSD campus. However, nothing compares to being a part of the great community that Madison Traditional Academy has to offer.
I have assisted in classrooms and taught in all core content areas from grades Pre-K through High School. I spent 1 year working as the lead paraprofessional at Boulder Creek High School in their Special Education program prior to beginning my student teaching. During this time, I became heavily involved in their Choir program and helped organizing various choir events. I have coached cheer for about 8 years and am in my second year coaching at Thunderbird High School.
I am originally from Oregon, but moved here in 2006 after meeting my husband. We got married on December 27th, 2012. My husband has just begun his 14th year teaching. We have been together for 15 years and in April, 2015, we welcomed our daughter, Jordynn Catalina Julia Marshall! We are a happy family of 4, including our pug Bailey!
