Hello students and families,  

I'm honored to be your child's teacher! First grade is an exciting and important year of growth for your child. I am here to help my students build their confidence academically as well as socially and emotionally. 

I was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. After graduating from Arcadia High School, I received my B.A. in Graphic Design and Illustration from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, CA. Afterwards I received my Elementary Teachers Certification from California State University - Dominguez Hills. I enjoyed teaching First grade at a private school in Santa Monica, CA for five years before moving back to Phoenix with my husband, Michael.  

Upon returning to Arizona, I switched to teaching Art for 8 years at Pueblo Elementary in Scottsdale. In 2012, I moved to MTA to teach Art and have been here ever since. I love MTA and teaching First Grade. This will be my sixth year teaching First grade at MTA and my 27th year teaching overall!

Our daughter is a Junior at Sunnyslope and our son is a Junior at ASU. We have a cat named Sonny and two dogs named Emmet and Charlie. We enjoy swimming in our pool, spending time with our extended family, and eating at our family-owned restaurant in downtown Phoenix - Cibo Pizzeria!
