FIELD TRIP + VOLUNTEERING (pertaining to in-person instruction) -
*****If you would like to volunteer or chaperone in one of our classrooms on a field trip, YOU ARE REQUIRED to fill out this form first!*****
*** SNACKS *** (pertaining to in-person instruction) - Families often have questions about birthday celebrations, and about snacks in general :) Please know some of our Allis policies have changed this year! See the MMSD Wellness Policy and Snack List that all classrooms are adhering to this year, and be sure any treat is on the approved list. This helps make sure the celebration is fun and happy and safe for everyone.
Any treat brought in that does not meet the guidelines will have to be stored in the Wellness Center until the end of the day, at which time it will be returned to be enjoyed at home.
Students will receive a visit from the Allis Cat Cart on their birthday and choose a prize. We will sing as a classroom family if that option is chosen.
We do not have any additional “snack times” in our classrooms outside of breakfast (8:25) and lunch (12:00), but we encourage students to bring extra items up from the breakfast room in the morning if they think they’ll be hungry and needing a snack later.
ATTENDANCE - Coming to school in the first month of school can predict good attendance throughout the school year. Half of students who miss 2-4 days in September go on to miss nearly a month of school. Check out the MMSD Attendance Website #attendancematters
There is now a “push notification” feature in the Campus Parent app that allows families to receive notification of absences in “real time” when a student is marked tardy or absent from class. This feature was promoted at all secondary enrollment sites as part of the 19-20 Attendance Campaign.

EXCURSIÓN + VOLUNTARIOS -
****Si le gustaría ser voluntario(a) en uno de nuestros salones de clase o acompañarnos en una excursión, ESTÁ OBLIGADO(A) completar el formulario aquí antes de participar.
*** MERIENDA *** - Las familias regularmente preguntan acerca de las celebraciones de cumpleaños y la merienda en general :). ¡Por favor tenga en cuenta que algunas de nuestras reglas han cambiado este año! Lea la Política de salud del MMSD and la lista de meriendas que todos los salones respetan este año, y asegúrese que cualquier alimento que quiere enviar a la escuela esté incluído en esas listas. Esto nos ayuda que cada celebración sea divertida y saludable para todos.
Cada alimento que no sea parte de la lista aprovada de merienda tendrá que ser guardado en el Centro De Bienestad hasta el fin del día para que luego sea llevado a casa por el estudiante.
Los estudiantes recibirán una visita del Carrito Felino De Allis ("Allis Cat Cart") en el día de sus cumpleaños para elegir un premio. Cantaremos en el salón como una familia de estudiantes si el/la estudiante elige esa opción.
No tenemos "horas de merienda" adicionales en nuestros salones aparte del desayuno (8:25) y almuerzo (12:00), pero queremos animar a los estudiantes a llevar comida adicional de la cafetería en la mañana si piensan que tendrán hambre después.
ASISTENCIA - Si la asistencia de un/a estudiante ha sido buena durante el primer mes de clases, predice buena asistencia al transcurso del ciclo escolar. La mitad de estudiantes que pierden entre 2-4 días de clases en septiembre normalmente pierden casi un mes de clases para el fin del ciclo. Ahora tenemos una característica nueva en la aplicación Campus Parent que notifica a las familias (en tiempo real) si un estudiante es marcado/marcada como ausente o tarde. Este sistema ha sido promovido en todas los sitios secundarios de inscripción como parte de nuestra Campaña De Asistencia para el año 2019-20.
