As you prepare for the upcoming term, you have 3 options to create content in your new Blackboard Learn course.
Please review the options in the diagram below; a more detailed textual explanation follows.
Option 1 - "Course Copying" from a Previous Blackboard Learn Course:
The majority of MacEwan instructors will choose this "Course Copy" option, which simply reuses course content from a previous term's Blackboard Learn course. If you previously created a course in Blackboard Learn, you can use Blackboard Learn's "Course Copy" function to copy the existing course content into a new empty course shell.
Here's how to use the "Course Copy" function.
Option 2 - Add Content to an Empty Blackboard Learn "New Course Shell":
MacEwan instructors can also choose to build a course each term in a new, empty Blackboard Learn "Course Shell." You might select this option if you are delivering only basic course materials, or if you have not previously created course content for a Blackboard Learn course from which you want to copy materials.
Option 3 - Copy Course Materials from a "Master Course":
Instructors can request to have a template i.e. an empty "Master Course" shell to be created. With a Master Course it is possible to start building a course before a new, empty course shell is automatically made available to them (here's how). Once editing of the Master Course is finished, use the "Course Copy" function to copy the Master's course content into the new course shell for the upcoming term.
