About the Teacher...

My name is Leah Nickell. I have been the athletic trainer at LVISD since 2004 . I also will be teaching the Sports Medicine I, II, and III classes.

I graduated from Texas State University formerly known as Southwest Texas State University with a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Sports Science in Athletic Training in 1997. I received my Master's Degree in Education in 1999. I am certified by NATA, and licensed by the state of Texas to be an athletic trainer. I am also a certified teacher. My favorite part of athletic training is injury rehabilitation.

My hobbies include: working with horses, team roping, fishing, and reading.
