About Ms. K

Ms. Kulcsar (aka Ms. K) is a Ramapo College and Kean University graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Literature and a Master's Degree in Writing Studies. She was the 2015 recipient of the Excellence in Graduate Studies Award from the Nathan Weiss Graduate College at Kean University for her thesis work on Electronic Literature and has presented original research for the National Writing Center Association and International Conference for Peer Tutoring in Writing at Walt Disney World! When Ms. K is not planning or teaching in her high school classroom, she can be found teaching College Composition, Creative Writing, and Literature at Kean University as an Adjunct Lecturer or helping out with the Fall Drama/Spring Musical and advising the school newspaper, The Patriot Press!

Outside of school, Ms. K is the proud "turtle mom" of three turtles that she has had for over 15 years (Dina, Evelyn, and Vladimir). She has a younger sister who is a 9th grade Math teacher at Middletown High School South, a 1yr old nephew, Ryan, and a canine "nephew" named Odin (a 2yr old Bernese Mountain Dog mix who eats everything in sight). For fun, Miss K enjoys crocheting, reading all of the books from her "TBR" collection on her bookshelf, and singing along to 90's music on her 1-hour commute. She is also a very dedicated fan of all things Disney!
