If you do not believe you are receiving school based emails regarding activities and upcoming events, please send an email to csquier@lunenburgschools.net to request your email address be updated.  

Newsletters & Menus

We make every effort to make sure our newsletters and monthly menus are posted to our website by the first of each month.  Unfortunately, sometimes this is not possible; however, monthly menus are posted in each classroom, the cafeteria, front office and the nurse’s office for students to view.  We urge parents to take a few minutes to read the monthly newsletters as they do contain important information regarding events happening at THES.

Attendance Calls

If your child is going to be absent or tardy, please call the attendance line by 9:15a.m. as attendance is done at 9:45 a.m.  By calling your child in absent or tardy, this eliminates the need for the office to call your house to check on your child.  You can email the secretary Ms. McAllister at amcallister@lunenburgschools.net  with absence and tardy notices.  We appreciate your assistance with this matter.

Student Dismissals

Dismissal before 3:10 p.m. is discouraged unless there is an emergency. Appointments, which are not emergencies should be scheduled outside the regular school hours. If a dismissal occurs before 11:30 a.m., it will be considered an absence unless the student returns within three hours.

A student must bring a permission note to the office before school on the day of the dismissal. Anyone picking up a student must be identified by the staff and sign out the student. 

After School Plans

If your child's after school plans change from normal routine or in the event your child’s plan changes once your child arrives at school please email amcallister@lunenburgschools.net explaining the change.  All changes must be received by noon and a confirmation email will be sent by 1:00pm. (If you do not receive a confirmation email please call the office at 978-582-4110)

Bus Drop Off Arrangements 

Although we do not mandate parent presence at a bus stop, we do ask that all parents establish a routine with their child’s bus driver. In the event of an emergency it is reassuring to know that once this routine is established, in your absence, your child will not be dropped if that is your preference. In this case your child will be brought back to school for you to pick up. 

Expect that your child will be dropped off at their bus stop, unless you have made an emergency arrangement with the bus driver, in which case he/she will be returned to extended day at THES.

Lunch payments 

Parents should make sure to make payments for lunches in one of three ways: cash, check, of RevTrak (online payment). If you pay by cash, please put money in a sealed envelope with your child's name, grade and homeroom and ID # (6 digit number), if you pay by check, please note this same information on the line available on the check. These two forms of payment should be deposited in the locked boxes in the front lobby of the school. The monthly menu will be posted on the website.
