Two Week Look Ahead

Two Week Look Ahead - February 26, 2018

Good afternoon. I hope that you had the opportunity to attend the Competitive Class Plays on February 15 and 16. All of the plays were phenomenal! Our students and advisors put a ton of time and effort into the productions and it was evident in the final products. Congratulations to the Class of 2020, advised by Mrs. Maura Lizek, on being awarded Best Play!

Now that February break has come and gone, it's time for the MIAA tournaments for our winter sports teams and it's also time to start planning for the 2018-2019 school year. Our Mock Trial team finished their regular season with a record of 2-1 and will play Parker Charter in the tie breaker round of playoffs, tomorrow at 1:00 pm at the Leominster District Court. If they win that trial, they will advance and play again on Wednesday. Good luck to our future attorneys.

Congratulations to all of our winter sports teams for advancing to the State Tournaments!

Our boys basketball team plays tonight at 7:00 pm against Littleton in the LMHS Gymnasium.

Our girls basketball team will play Tuesday night at 7:00 pm against Notre Dame Academy in the LMHS Gymnasium.

The Lunenburg-Leominster-Littleton Ski team will compete in the state championships at Berkshire East on Tuesday, March 6.

The Lunenburg-Ayer-Shirley ice hockey team is the #2 seed and got a bye for the first round. They will play at the Wallace Civic Center on Wednesday, March 7 at 7:00 pm.

Come out to support our Blue Knights!

Congratulations to Chris McCauliff for breaking the LHS record in the one mile run at the MIAA all-state indoor track championship meet. He ran a 4:28.5 mile to break the 33 year old record.

They're still very much in the early stages but have established a FaceBook page, an online survey and a rough project plan to help promote the concept. Please visit https://www.facebook.com/lunenburgskatepark for more information, to get involved and participate in the ongoing discussion. Also take a moment to answer their brief survey to help assess perceived need and other community demographic information - https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2TN678H

Have a great week.
