Two Week Look Ahead

Two Week Look Ahead - March 20, 2020

This is going to be a different two week look ahead newsletter. With our school district currently closed until April 7, 2020, we don’t have any events planned for the next two weeks. The superintendent sent an email out with a link to our LPS Enrichment Webpage. The staff has worked really hard putting together numerous amounts of enrichment activities.

All assignments listed are opportunities to stay engaged and actively thinking about course topics during our closure. These assignments will be updated weekly, so please check back.

Please also note that there are no due dates for any of this work, and these assignments will not be graded.

Enjoy and take advantage of the many opportunities here to think, learn, reflect, and grow!

The entire K-12 administrative team has been in constant communication every day through zoom conferences, text chats and emails. We have been discussing all due dates, senior scholarships, spring sports, quarter grades, final grades, senior activities and graduation. We have discussed numerous contingency plans depending on what happens with national or local governmental decisions during this COVID-19 crisis. As of right now NO decisions have been made about scholarships, quarter grades, or senior activities. I want to assure you that we have discussed all of these issues/concerns and have many contingency plans that we are thinking about. I am sure you have heard this a lot through this crisis but we need to be patient. Currently we are planning to be back on April 7th. Obviously that could change as we get more information. The hard part is how fluid this situation is from day to day.

Please stay safe and stay healthy. As an optimistic person one positive from our current situation is that we are being allotted more family time.

Enjoy your weekend!
