School Counseling Office:

The PSAT exam that was potentially going to be given in January 2021 will not be administered. This decision was not an easy one. However, due to many variables associated with COVID-19 it was felt that not administering the exam was in the best interest of all of our students, families, staff and community.

Looking ahead to the 2021-2022 school year with learning back to “normal” the next PSAT exam will be administered on October 13, 2021. With that said there are many resources for students to utilize in order to prepare for and become familiar with the SAT/PSAT and ACT exams including; the test format, sample test questions, practice tests, and supports to help improve performance.

MEFA MyPathway - https://www.mefapathway.org/student-login/

  • Students will be required to create an account if they have not done so already

  • When creating an account it is important to store username and password in a place that is easily retrieved if forgotten!!!

  • Once registered - click on the Home tab - scroll down to “Take Standardized Test” - then select a test to practice.

College Board - https://www.collegeboard.org/ https://collegereadiness.collegeboard.org/sample-questions

LHS Health Office:

Lunenburg Public Schools

Parents/Guardians

Beginning with the 2020-2021 school year, influenza vaccine will be required for all students. Influenza vaccine is always important to receive to reduce the risk of getting sick with influenza, reduce the severity of disease if one does get sick (including the risk of hospitalization) due to influenza, as well as preventing the spread of influenza to others. During the COVID-19 pandemic, influenza vaccine will be especially critical to reduce the overall impact of respiratory illness on the population, protect vulnerable populations from severe illness, and decrease the overall burden on the healthcare system.

Students must receive influenza vaccine for the current season by December 31, 2020.

Any age-appropriate licensed influenza vaccine for the current season fulfills the requirement. This includes injectable and nasal spray vaccine types.

The school immunization requirements, including the requirement for seasonal influenza vaccine, apply to all Massachusetts students enrolled in Kindergarten through Grade 12, regardless of whether the district is providing instruction in-person, or using a hybrid or remote learning model. The influenza immunization requirement also applies to all children 6 months of age or older who are attending Massachusetts child care, and pre-school.

Medical Exemptions- Please provide a statement from a physician stating that a vaccine is medically contraindicated for a student.

Religious Exemptions- Please provide a statement from a student, or parent/guardian if the student is <18 years of age, stating that a vaccine is against sincerely held religious beliefs.

Please provide medical or religious exemption letters to your child’s nurse.

Your child may receive their flu shot from their primary care provider- call for information and to schedule an appointment.

Another option for children 3 years and older is at a nearby pharmacy. Below is a list of local pharmacies who are listed as vaccine providers and a link to “Vaccine Finders”. Please call to confirm hours and availability of Influenza Vaccine.
