Rockin’ Ron the Friendly Pirate to perform at MES

Local pirate performer, Rockin’ Ron the Friendly Pirate, will be setting sail for Morristown Elementary School on Thursday, November 10th at 6 p.m. This show will be held in conjunction with the Scholastic Book Fair in the library. This fair’s theme is: Bookaneer Book Fair: Where books are the treasure! Books for all ages will be available for purchase to support the library and school programs. The Friendly Pirate is a reading champion who is excited to return to MES. His last visit was in September 2015 in honor of Talk like a Pirate day (9/19).

The Friendly Pirate’s shows are educational and very interactive with singing-along and dancing to one of his many songs. He sings to his own guitar accompaniment and to backing tracks from one of his three stylistically diverse albums. You may have seen him at local library events, Smugglers' Notch Resort (his main port 'o call), maritime and kids festivals, as well as at MES. If you want to enjoy a Rockin’ Fun Time, attend this free family friendly event where costumes are welcome. The book fair will be open before and after the show for your convenience, as well as on other days. The fair will be open Tuesday, Nov. 8th and Wednesday, Nov. 9th from 8 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 10th from 8 a.m. - 7:15 p.m., and Friday, Nov. 11th (Veterans Day) from 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. during Parent/Teacher conferences. Books truly RRR treasures just waiting for readers to discoveRRR them! If you want to learn more about the pirate, go to www.RockinRonTheFriendlyPirate.com.
