About Me

Hello welcome to my webpage! My name is Mackenzie Gisvold and I teach 3rd grade at Appleton Elementary in Appleton, Minnesota.  I look forward to teaching this year and getting to know your child. I am originally from Appleton, MN.  I graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead (MSUM), with a degree in Elementary Education emphasis in Pre-Primary. 

    I live on a farm outside of Appleton with my husband Tyler and children Axle, Oaklee, and Lakelyn. My interests include dance, outdoor activities, fishing, reading, camping, and running.   

    My teaching goal is to make sure that I meet all my students needs in the classroom and to push my students to be the best that they can be! As an early childhood professional I believe that all teachers need to have patience when working with children. It is important to be flexible with students depending on their age and the circumstance. The classroom should be a comfortable environment where students feel they can be themselves and learn.
