What is POL?
Poetry Out Loud is a national-level arts education program for High School students that encourages the study of great poetry. It helps students master public speaking, build self-confidence, and learn about literary history and contemporary life.

Important Dates:
School / Local Competitions should take place before the winter break.
Regional Competition: Saturday, January 9, 2027, at AcA in Downtown Lafayette.
State Competition: Thursday, March 4, 2027
National Competition: April 26 - 28, 2027, in Washington, D.C.
