I have been in education for 35 years. I graduated from the University of Louisiana in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education, and from Lamar University in 2000 with a Master's Degree in Counseling.
I have taught first, fourth, and fifth grades, along with a Special Education class of children who were exited from other schools due to behavior. I have one daughter, who is in High School! We have three dogs named Bo, Legend, and Lo-lo.
My daughter attended J.W. James from Pre-K through 5th grade. She is in COLLEGE now, but still lovingly remembers all of her teachers!
I have been working at J.W. James since we opened the school in 2002 and have known Willow Street as my "home away from home" for the past 24 years. I love working with children, parents, and teachers, and am so happy to call myself a Starblazer!
