Physical Education Rules and Expectations

Physical Education Rules:

1. Respect others.

2. Listen and follow directions.

3. Keep all body parts to yourself.

4. Be a good sport.

Consequences:

Step 1. Verbal warning

Step 2. Think time, as deemed necessary by the teacher, and 1 point deducted from grade.

Step 3. Parent Contact- PE Behavior Notification is sent home when 5 behavior infractions have been accumulated during the nine week period. ( 5 points deducted from grade)

Step 4. Parent Contact - Star Behavior Report is sent home when 10 behavior infractions have been accumulated during the nine week period. ( 10 points deducted from grade)

***Star Behavior Report will be written if a minor infraction occurs. (10 point deduction)

***State Behavior Report will be written if a major infraction occurs. (15 point deduction)

Rewards: Fun Friday, Starbucks and Running Prizes.

GUIDELINES FOR EARNING STAR BUCKS:

Students can earn STAR Bucks by displaying good behavior during PE class, following rules in PE entrance and exit lineup procedures, displaying good citizenship skills and displaying good sportsmanship.

Dress Requirements: Athletic shoes, shoes tied or fastened to feet, which ensures the SAFETY of the children. Children must have proper support around the foot and ankle to eliminate any type of injuries.
