Journals
Journals (20% of your final grade in the course): Monday through Thursday, we will complete journal entries in class. You may use the prompts (below) or you may choose your own journal topic. At the end of the week, you will have four separate entries. I will collect your journals each Friday and read and respond to one of your entries from the week. Please put a star at top of the one you would like me to read. Each week, you will receive a grade based on the following rubric:
20/20= Four entries, at least a 1/2 page each, answers questions thoroughly with evidence of reflection and care; on time
17/20= Missing one of the elements above; four entries
15/20= Missing two elements from above; at least three entries
13/20= Missing three elements from above; at least two entries
11/20= Missing four elements from above; at least one entry
Please note that late journals can be turned in up until the six week grading period in which they occur.
