This year, we are working to make our yearbook team a true family. Please find your yearbook big/little brother/sister. This is your person for the year. Throughout the year, please do little things to encourage them. You can bring them a small gift, candy, Starbucks drink, or just a nice note. The goal is to do something nice for them once a month.

Yearbook Contract 2025-2026
We are so excited to have you on our team! To set us up for success this year, we want to start off strong by making our expectations clear. Please read through the following and sign if you agree!
Responsibilities:
Being a part of the yearbook staff is a privilege and comes with some specific responsibilities which include attending events, taking photos, writing copy, and meeting deadlines. How well you fulfill these responsibilities will determine your grade in the class.
Attendance: New this year: One of the most important aspects of being on yearbook staff is attending events. While we realize that everyone is very busy, it is not okay to be on the team and not pull your weight. This year, the editors will be keeping track of the number of events you cover. In order to earn an A in yearbook, you must cover a minimum of 10 events per semester. We sincerely hope that you will want to cover as many events as possible- this is why you joined!
Please plan ahead now- if you know you will be very busy during a particular season, try and cover as much as you can before and after. Also, if you work after school or do not drive, sign up to cover events before school or during the day.
Also- if you do sign up to attend an event, we expect you to show up! Of course, emergencies come up, but, if they do- it is your responsibility to find someone to fill in for you. Failure to attend an event you committed to will result in a grade deduction.
Equipment and Materials:
You are making a commitment to treating yearbook equipment (cameras, computers, etc.) with care and respect, and will be responsible for any damages caused by your negligence. This includes returning cameras after use and not leaving them in your car or locker! Cameras will be checked out through Annie and if you check it out- YOU are responsible for it, regardless if you give it to another staff member. You are responsible for any equipment in your name.
Deadlines:
When we miss deadlines, it doesn’t just put us behind- it costs us money! So, we cannot miss deadlines. Your grade will be impacted and, more importantly, you will let your team down so be sure to get things done on time. We have ample time to work during class. Yearbook is NOT a study hall. DO NOT use it as such and neglect your responsibilites.
Professionalism:
You represent LHS yearbook and that is a big deal. When you get interviews, always follow proper procedures. Get permission from Ms. Fisher or Emma BEFORE you reach out to any staff on behalf of yearbook. If you are taking pictures at events, please follow proper protocol- bring your press pass with you. Have your individual pass with you anytime you are out of class. If you are caught wandering the hallways with friends or not where you are supposed to be during yearbook class time, your pass will be taken away and you may be asked to leave yearbook at semester.
Time Commitment:
Yearbook WILL require time outside of class, such as after school or on weekends. Know that and help out your group.
Consequences:
Any student who does not have an A at semester, will conference with Ms. Fisher and the editors and may be asked to leave the yearbook staff.
