Level 4 Quality Rated Program

What is a Quality Rated Program? What is Colorado Shines?
Start Early and Start Strong

Early learning is so important that many parents begin the search for child care options months before a baby is even born. They know that finding a high-quality program is a critical first step in ensuring a child’s growth and development. No matter where you are in that process, Colorado Shines – the state’s quality rating and improvement system – is here to help you to identify the best child care solution for you and your family.

There are many factors that parents and caregivers should consider when looking for child care, including availability, cost and location. Studies show time and time again that quality is the most important consideration because children grow and develop so much in their first years of life.

Colorado Shines is a free resource. Colorado Shines utilizes a comprehensive approach to evaluate Colorado’s early learning programs in areas such as health and safety, training and teacher effectiveness, positive learning environment, continuing education and leadership – all characteristics that point to a program’s level of quality and ensures parents’ confidence in the program.

When utilizing Colorado Shines, parents can rest easy knowing that participating programs are committed to offering high-quality services and engaging in ongoing improvement practices.

Welcome to Littleton Prep's Pre-K Program

Thank you for your interest in our Pre-K Program. Our philosophy is to help each child develop a love of learning and provide each child with a basic foundation for their future education at LPCS and beyond. We use field-tested, high-quality curriculum that allow children to learn in a hands on, FUN environment where they are nurtured and loved. We teach not only academics such as reading/phonics, math and use the Core Knowledge sequence, but we help children with their social and emotional development.

We have three enrollment options; 2, 3 or 5 days per week. We have low ratios in our classrooms, (2 teachers for 16 children), to allow each child to bond with and create a solid, long lasting relationship with the teachers.
