The reopening of SACC programs will include new requirements and protocols. SACC programs will follow the requirements from our local health experts, state licensing agencies and the district for the safest return for our students, staff and families.

• Student wellness: As always, students who are ill, need to stay home. Parents should plan to ensure their child is feeling well, does not have any symptoms of illness or a fever before leaving home. How Sick is Too Sick? When Children and Staff Should Stay Home from School or Child Care.

• Drop off and pick up procedures will include limiting access to the building and social distancing. Parents should plan for the sign in and out process to take more time than in the past. At this time parents will not be allowed to enter the building. Sign in and out will be completed by staff with physical verification and verbal acknowledgement of your pin.

  • Parents are encouraged to use the new SchoolCare Works “Contactless (GPS) Sign-In/Out” that allows families to use an app on their phone to remotely sign in and out their children. You will receive instructions before school begins for downloading the app. Parents will need to be within 500 feet or less to the building. Parents must still go to the designated sign in/pick up area to meet up with SACC staff and your child. Those families who do not wish to use this option will give the SACC sign in/out person their pin number to complete the check-in or out process.

• SACC programs will use consistent cohorts of children as much as possible.

• SACC programs will support social distancing to the best of our ability.

• SACC programs will have enhanced cleaning and sanitizing procedures.
