2022 National Scholarships
General Instructions
Each scholarship below has a link to either the application itself or the scholarship's website.
Note that any deadline dates could change from year to year, and we may not catch the change.
It is your responsibility to read all application instructions and deadlines and make sure you adhere to them. Otherwise you may be eliminated from the applicant pool.
Any applications that are incomplete or late will be eliminated from the applicant pool.
All applications must be downloaded and saved on a computer before you can fill it out. If you fill it out before doing this, then the application will not save with your information. If there is not a link to a common application scholarship, then updated scholarship applications are not available yet. Consult your counselor if you have more questions.

Any Time
Armed Forces and Public Safety Officer : For a student already born, or born after a military member or public officer is determined to be imprisoned or missing in action, or is killed or becomes totally and permanently disabled.
Disability Scholarships: A long list of scholarships for students with general, physical, intellectual, or learning disabilities or impairments, or chronic health conditions
Army ROTC Scholarship: For a student interested in the Army.
Lgbtq Scholarships: For any WA, ID, OR, MT lgbtq ally students and can be awarded to any post-secondary school
October
Coca-Cola Scholars Program: For students demonstrating leadership, service and commitment while making a significant impact on their schools and communities. Due 10/31.
NCWIT Award for Aspirations in Computing: For high school females with an interest and aptitude in IT/Computing
LendEDU Scholarship: For students with a min gpa of 2.5. $2,500. Write a short essay.
November
National Society Daughters of the American Revolution Scholarships: For high school seniors going on to college to study in the areas of political science, history, government, economics, nursing, occupational/physical therapy, and music. Numerous scholarships on the website.
Jack Kent Cooke: For achieving students with significant financial need. Up to $40,000 that can be applied to any 4 year college.
HFI: For students interested in helicopter piloting, maintenance, or safety. Numerous scholarships on the website.
WACE Co-op Scholarship: For students pursing a cooperative education at one of 10 specific universities. Up to $25,000!
Prudential Spirit of Community Awards: For students who have made meaningful contributions to their communities through volunteer service in the past year.
Youth Volunteer Scholarship: For students who have completed 50 hours of volunteer service in the last 2 years. Min GPA 3.5. $500
Good360 Scholarship: For students with an interest in environmentalism or sustainability. Min GPA 3.3. $1000
Drug Lawsuit Scholarship: For students attending some kind of post-secondary education. Must write short essay describing educational career and goals. $1000. Due November 1, 2016.
December
Look Twice, Save a Life: A creative scholarship. Must create a form of social awareness for motorcycle safety. Could be a video, artwork, essay, etc. $1000.
Rocky Mountain Educational Dreams Scholarship: 7 Scholarships in different categories: general, nursing, law, medical school, physical/occupational therapy, summer school, etc. $1000 each.
KF Colonel's Scholarship: For a student with a minimum 2.75 GPA enrolling in a public in-state college or university.
Montana State University Presidential Award: For students with outstanding academic achievement who have enrolled at Montana State University.
Elks Most Valuable Student Awards: For high school seniors. Judged on the scholarship application, leadership, and financial need. Awards range from $4,000-$60,000! Due 12/5.
Stephen J. Brady Stop Hunger Scholarship: For students who have volunteered hours related to fighting childhood hunger. Win 5,000 for school and 5,000 for a charity of your choice.
Young Entrepreneur Foundation Award: For seniors who operate/own their own small business. Awards range from $2000-$15,000.
Elks Emergency Education Grants: For students of deceased or totally disabled Elk's members. Click scholarship name to send an email to request application.
Crosslites Scholarship: Personal reflective essay. From $500-$4000
January
Profiles in Courage Scholarship: A highly competitive essay scholarship. A lot of work but also great reward. $10,000!
Burger King McLamore: For students with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
Gates Millenium: For students of varied descent that have demonstrated leadership abilities.
Multiple Sclerosis: For Individuals who have MS, or have a parent with MS, and will be attending an accredited postsecondary school are eligible to apply for any year of undergraduate study.
Pride Foundation: For current and future leaders in the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ), and straight ally community from Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington.
Elks National Foundation Legacy Awards: Any child or grandchild (or step-child, step-grandchild, or legal ward) of a living Elk.
Ithaca MLK Scholar Program: For academically exceptional students from traditionally underrepresented population who want to attend Ithaca College. $25,000-Full Tuition.
February
DAR Lucinda Beneventi Findley History Scholarship: $2000. For students interested in history and planning to major in history. Minimum gpa 3.25.
DAR Dr. Auro-Lee A. and James Hobbs Pittenger American History Scholarship: For students planning to major in American History or American Government. $2000 renewable!
DAR Richard and Elizabeth Dean Scholarship: An academic merit award. Minimum 4.0 gpa. $5000 renewable.
DAR Caroline E. Holt Nursing Scholarship: For students who have financial need and are enrolled in a nursing school.
Idaho Governor's Cup Scholarship: For students attending an Idaho college. Min GPA 2.8. Highly based on community leadership, organization participation and/or volunteer service. $3000 Renewable
Idaho School Boards Association Scholarship: For students whose parent or grandparent is/was on the Idaho School Board.
Burger King Scholars Program: For students who work part-time and maintain at least a 2.5 GPA.
DAR Mildred Nutting Nursing Scholarship: For students with financial need and are enrolled in a nursing school/program. $1000.
DAR Occupational/Physical Therapy: For students with financial need and have been accepted to a school of occupational therapy (including art, music, or physical therapy).
Buick Achievers Scholarship; For seniors who demonstrate academic achievement, financial need, participation and leadership in community and school activities, work experience and interest in pursuing a career in the automotive or related industries. Special consideration will be given to the following applicants: first-generation college attendees, females, minorities, and dependents of military personnel. The majority of the scholarships will be awarded to students majoring in STEM disciplines.
AXA Foundation: For students who set and reach ambitious goals.
Best Buy: For students with high academics and community service.
Create-a-Greeting-Card Scholarship: A greeting card contest. Submit original photo, artwork, or computer graphics for a greeting card. Easy opportunity for artsy students. $10,000! Due 2/18.
Society of Women Engineers: For female students pursuing a degree in engineering, or an enginnering-related field such as Computer Science or a hard science.
March
Janice M. Scott Memorial Scholarship: For students whose parents’ combined adjusted income does not exceed $50,000. Min GPA 3.0. $2500.
Walmart Dependent Scholarship: For students with a parent that works at Walmart.
Pointe Pest Control Scholarship: For students with a min. 3.0 g.p.a and is primarily need-based.
Bobby and Tiffany Memorial Scholarship: For students accepted to college and have attended Alive at 25 course. $1000
NEW Marsden Scholarship: For students with high academic achievement who need some financial help to go to the best college. $30,000 (Over 4 years).
April
E-waste Scholarship: Required to write a statement about electronic waste. $1500.
Pelican Water Scholarships: Requires essay the negative environmental and social impacts of single use bottled water. Min 3.5 GPA. Requires letter of recommendation.
Horatio Alger Scholarship: For students who have critical financial need (<55,000 gross family income), have overcome a significant hardship, and are planning to go to an Idaho college. Min GPA 2.0
Student-View Scholarship: A short 15 minute application survey. Winners are drawn at random. $500-$4000! Due April 22.
Dave Ramsey Scholarship: A brief online money quiz/survey for seniors with the chance to win $40,000 (among other amounts) towards any college! Due April 25
The Ninth Circuit Scholarship: Contest on the theme “50 Years after the Miranda Decision – How the Federal Courts Defined the Rights of the Accused.” 10th, 11th, and 12th graders can participate by submitting individual essays or they can team with up in submitting a video presentation. $100 to $2,000! Due April 15.

B. Davis Scholarship: For high school juniors and seniors. Requires essay on leadership characteristics. $1000.
Rentacomputer Scholarship: For students planning to attend a college/university within 12 months. Requires essay about academic and career goals. $2000.
Alert Magazine Winning Essay Scholarship: $500 college scholarship to the writer of the best drug and/or alcohol abuse-related essay for that state/region".
June
Aspiring Fashion Professional Scholarship: $1000 scholarship for students interested in pursuing a fashion degree in college. Scholarship can be found at the bottom of the page.
Aspiring Nurse Scholarship: For students interested in nursing (LPN/LVN, RN, ADN, or BSN) $1000.
Aspiring Business Professional Scholarship: For seniors who are pursuing a business related degree. $1000. Due June 1st.
BBG Communications Scholarship: Essay about information and communications technology industry. Min GPA 2.5
Abbott and Fenner Business Scholarship: For high school students. Requires essay about educational, career, and life goals. $1000.
Horatio Alger Career & Technical Scholarship: For students planning on completing a career or technical program. Demonstrate financial need (Pell Grant eligible) and display integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity. $2500. Due June 1st.
ZipRecruiter Scholarship: For students pursuing their post-secondary education. $3000. Due June 30th.
July
Lending Tree Scholarship: For high school seniors with a min 3.5 GPA. Submit a 30 second video about how you are planning to pay for college.
August
ABODO Scholarship: For high school seniors attending college in the fall. Write a short essay about what you are bringing with you to college. $500.
September
Don’t Text and Drive Scholarship: 140-character message about texting while driving. The top 10 applications asked to write a full length essay about texting while driving. $1000.
