--- President David, N2RDT, called the meeting to order at 7:37 PM in the CDF Burrell Fire Station

--- Attendees were Charlie AB6VS, Austin AB6VU, Vic AE6ID, George AE6KE, Trudy KC6NAX, Alex KC6TYG, Leon KD6FAQ, Cap KE6AFE, Mike KG6LPL, Bill KG6VMX, David N2RDT and Marc W6ZZZ

Minutes From Last Month

--- Minutes from the December meeting were approved (there was no meeting in January)

Treasurer’s Report

--- Month end balance as of Jan 31 is 525.13, two month expenditures of 40.80 for telephone at the AB6VS repeater shack, report approved

--- A number of members paid their dues at the meeting ($25/year and $30/yr family)

AB6VS LPARC Repeater Equipment Report

--- There has been plenty of wind and the batteries are fully charged

General Business

--- David N2RDT and George AE6KE presented Trudy KC6NAX with a certificate for her many years of dedicated service to both the Loma Prieta ARC and Loma Prieta ARES

--- Trudy KC6NAX was given honorary lifetime membership in LPARC, approved

--- Cake (from Bobbi Norman) and sodas were had by all in celebration

--- LPARC will not hold a separate Field Day event in June 2007; we just don’t have enough attendees

--- Cap KE6AFE reminded us that Feb 24 will be Radiofest from 7AM to 2 PM over in Seaside, he recommends attending this event (details at HYPERLINK "http://www.radiofest.org" www.radiofest.org )

--- Alex invited us to use his KC6TYG repeater, which has excellent coverage on both the San Jose and Santa Cruz sides of the hill. 440.650 frequency and 94.8 pl.

--- David N2RDT gave a description of getting a domain and email reflector set up for LPARC using Google. A motion was approved for him to get this set up for the club’s benefit at a cost of $10/year. This is a great idea that could really help LPARC and its members.

AE6KE ARES Repeater Equipment Report

--- George AE6KE gave a report about the site survey at Pete’s place and will send out an email detailing the AE6KE repeater equipment move, which will happen on Feb 10 or Feb 17

--- The repeater will be located inside an existing building, thus saving ARES $300 or more for a shed

--- George AE6KE and Cap KE6AFE gave a report on Bill Dale, N2RHV, Santa Clara Valley Section Manager holding a meeting with all the ECs and DECs in his section
