A citation is a reference to a source of information; it gives credit to the creator of the information that you are using in your research or paper. There are different styles of citations, MLA and APA are two common ones. A works cited page is a stylized collection of your citations. Remember that many databases and online resources will create a citation for you, then you can copy and paste them into your works cited page. A bibliography is like a works cited page but includes citations for materials your reader might also find helpful, but were not necessarily all included in your research. Plagiarism is using someone else's work as though it was your own; this is considered to be academic dishonesty. Follow the links below for citing and writing.
