A Little About Me
Welcome to English with Mr. Cormier! I've taught English, now, in four decades, having started my career in Virginia in the '90s. After growing up in Gardner, MA (home to the famous Big Chair), I left to explore some of the world, finally returning to my home state in 2000 when I began teaching at LHS.
I live in South Hadley with my wife, Anne, and three daughters, Anna, Eliza, and Sarah (right). The older two are off on separate adventures in Taiwain right now. Anna, a recent graduate of Case Western Reserve University, is teaching first graders there, while Eliza is studying Mandarin for the semester as a George Washington University student.
I'm a graduate of St. Anselm College in New Hampshire, as well as St. John's College in Annapolis, MD. In addition to teaching almost every class in the department over the past twenty years, I advise the student newspaper, The Jet Jotter.
I'm available for extra help most days after school. Students can drop by my office or make an appointment with me.
