The Lone Grove Hot Shots is a team of girls and boys in 3rd through 5th grade. Each fall when school starts the students try-out by demonstrating several basketball skills like Spider, Dribbling, and Figure 8. Once on the team these students practice those same skills as well as many others after school for several weeks. Those skills are then put together with music to create a routine that the Hot Shots then perform at Lone Grove High School basketball games, at an Oklahoma City Thunder game, OU, East Central University, and other local events. The team is coached by Virginia Mitchell.
