This year 5th grade will have Science and Social Studies again! I will be teaching science for our class, but we will be switching to Mrs. Mahoney's classroom for social studies. Mrs. Mahoney is out on maternity leave through November though so we will have her long term sub Mrs. Geddry the first few months. This will help us get comfortable with a new teacher for a subject and also moving classrooms. A really great skill for middle school! We hope to keep this fun and exciting for the kids! We will cover life science, physical science and earth science with lots of hands on experiences!
Choose Love- this social emotional curriculum will be talked about often at our morning meetings and will also be the basis of many social activities we do to stay connected to each other this year! If you'd like to check out the curriculum please click CHOOSE LOVE and check it out! It is an awesome program that even offers an at home version to help support! I try to remind myself and the students everyday the importance of choosing to show love and kindness to all daily.
