Using a Universal Design for Learning (UDL) concept, instruction is organized in such a way that the learner ultimately selects the choice that they feel most comfortable with. In this learning environment manipulatives, exercises, and instruction appear in the learning space in a variety of different formats to appeal to every kind of learner. You may find:
Textbooks about Math or ebook readers
Stories with Math concepts in the story line in digital and hard copy format
Websites that allow students to create storybooks online about numbers
Paper and markers for children to create storybooks about numbers
Manipulatives such as tiles, flash cards, abacus and fraction tiles
Virtual manipulatives on as displays on computers or interactive whiteboards with interactive objects
