UDL

Using a Universal Design for Learning (UDL) concept, instruction is organized in such a way that the learner ultimately selects the choice that they feel most comfortable with. In this learning environment manipulatives, exercises, and instruction appear in the learning space in a variety of different formats to appeal to every kind of learner. You may find:

- Textbooks about Math or ebook readers
- Stories with Math concepts in the story line in digital and hard copy format
- Websites that allow students to create storybooks online about numbers
- Paper and markers for children to create storybooks about numbers
- Manipulatives such as tiles, flash cards, abacus and fraction tiles
- Virtual manipulatives on as displays on computers or interactive whiteboards with interactive objects
- Worksheets and pencils or crayons or games on iPods and laptops
- Blocks and objects for sorting
- Digital cameras for documenting, observing and presenting
