Importing Images & Data into ImageStream (ImageStream Import Wizard)
You can download images and data from the Portal and then import it into an installed instance of ImageStream.
Refer to page 52, “Downloading Images” for instructions downloading subject data and images. When you get to the Download Options window, select the preset format named ImageStream Import Wizard.
Once the data file is downloaded. Extract the contents of the file to a folder of your choosing. (Note: Because of security settings sometimes set on Downloads folders, you may need to move the folder you downloaded into another folder in order for the Import into ImageStream to work. Before extracting the file, copy the downloaded file to a different location, then extract the contents of the file.)
Start the ImageStream software installed on your computer.
Once ImageStream has started, click the Tools menu at the top and select Import Wizard.
On the Import Wizard window, click Browse to find the file needed for importing. Locate and open the IDLINK.TXT file. This should be one of the files extracted from the downloaded .zip file.
You will be prompted to map the column headers in ImageStream. For each column being used, select the data field each column represents. You don’t have to map blank or unused columns – only the ones you used. (Note: The column with the image file name should be mapped to Image Name, in order to be prompted for the image files in the next step.)
Click Next.
The import will process will begin. You will then be prompted to confirm the directory or folder where the image files are. Confirm that the prefilled location is correct and then click OK to start the import process.
