The Advanced Settings window is used to modify images, image/link file locations, and the link file itself for export purposes. You are able to change the type of image, the color depth, and the height and width of the image. You can resort back to the default settings by clicking the Reset button.
The default Image Link for advanced settings with Generate Link File checked and Use Image Link as Filename unchecked is the student ID. If a student ID does not exist in the database, the application will use a generic numbering system for image files and image link numbers. If the Use Image Link as Filename is checked, the application will now use the contents of the Image Link field in the database and subsequently use that for image name and image link. If no Image Link exists in the database, the application will use a generic numbering system for image files and image link number.
You can make multiple selections in the link file options. When the Copy Student ID to Image Link function is used, all other checkboxes should be unchecked and Image Type should be set to None. You can have multiple selections for pad, trim and add a prefix or suffix to modify the image link element. If you select Save Image Link to database, the changes will be permanently made to the database, otherwise modifications are not saved.
