About Ms. Díaz

Hi! My name is Areli Díaz. I grew up in Franklin Park and

attended East Leyden High School. I graduated in 2004!

I then attended DePaul University and graduated in 2008

with a Bachelor's Degree. I decided to pursue my

Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an

ELL Endorsement, and graduated in 2012!

This is my 12th year teaching and my 8th year here at Leyden!

I enjoy working with students and learning new things

everyday! I also enjoy spending time with my family.

I have 2 kids, a 11 year old son and a 6 year old daughter! I will talk a lot about them during the school year!

I am looking forward to a great year!
