About Me
This is my 14th year teaching ELA and Social Studies to gifted fifth graders in South Carolina. I am thrilled that I have the opportunity to work with another group of readers, writers, and historians this year. I love to encourage collaboration, creation, and critical thinking within my classroom. We will work hard this year, but we'll also have fun!
I attended the University of South Carolina, so I love the Gamecocks. While at USC, I earned a degree from the School of Journalism and Mass Communications, as well as a Master of Arts in Teaching degree. I also have my Gifted and Talented Endorsement from the College of Charleston.
My husband, Adam, and I moved to Chapin a few years ago, though I grew up in Irmo. While we miss the beaches and restaurants of Charleston, we love living in the Chapin area!
We have two little boys, Grayson and Cooper. They are adorable, though they keeps us on our toes!
